"Bar was alright, just kinda slow"
Stayed at one of their hotels and hit up the bar a couple nights. The drinks were decent, nothing wild, but the service was slow even when it didn’t seem that busy. The bartender was nice once we finally got helped, but they weren’t super quick about checking back in. Prices were a little steep too, tbh. Not a bad spot or anything, just kinda mid for what we paid...

and I had to call customer service about my booking, and they were actually helpful. It took a bit to get the answer, but the person I spoke with was friendly and got everything sorted out. Not perfect, but overall I had a good experience with Opal Collection...

"Pool was kind of a letdown for the price"
I stayed at an Opal Collection hotel and, the pool was the part I was most excited about, so I felt a little embarrassed that I had talked it up so much before we got there.
In the pictures it looked really nice, but in person it felt crowded and not as clean as I expected. Towels were gone quickly, all the chairs were taken early, and there didn’t seem to be much staff around to help. There were leaves and other stuff floating in the water for a good part of the afternoon.
The room itself was fine, but for what we paid, I really expected a better pool experience. It just made the trip feel less relaxing than I hoped, and I felt a bit awkward admitting that the main thing I was excited for ended up being the biggest disappointment.

"Simple booking with a minor slowdown"
I booked a weekend stay on opalcollection.com and it was easy. The room choices were laid out clearly, and I got my confirmation quickly, which I appreciated. The only small hiccup was that the site took a little longer to load when I was switching dates, but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, the process was smooth and I’d use it again

"Amenities were okay, maybe just bad timing"
The pool was actually nice, but the gym felt a little dated to me. To be fair, I might have just caught it at a bad time, but overall the amenities were just okay...

The room was okay overall, but uh, the property felt worn down. Our AC kept making this annoying noise, and the hallway carpet had some noticeable stains. The staff did try to help, which I appreciated, but everything took a while to get fixed. It wasn’t a terrible stay, just didn’t really feel worth the price

"Pretty decent stay with our dog"
Booked through opalcollection.com and finding a pet-friendly room was surprisingly easy, which I appreciated. We brought our dog along and the hotel staff was actually nice about it, no weird looks or making us feel like we were sneaking in a zoo animal. There was a pet fee, which I figured there would be, but it would’ve been nice if that was a little more obvious before checkout. Overall, it was a good stay, and I’d probably use them again for trips with the pup

"The room didn’t feel very clean"
The room was, well, the floors were the main issue. They felt gross, like they hadn’t been cleaned properly, and it made the whole stay feel uncomfortable.

Not gonna lie, I expected a lot more for what I paid. It wasn’t awful or anything, but the prices felt steep for the overall experience. I left feeling like I was paying more for the name than the actual value...

"Beach access really could’ve been better"
The beach access was disappointing. It wasn’t easy to get to, and that got frustrating after a while. I feel like if a place is going to mention beach access, it’s only fair to make it clear and convenient for guests.

"I booked this place because it looked..."
I booked this place because it looked like it would be close to everything, but getting around wasn’t as easy as I’d hoped. Parking was a bit of a nightmare, and most of the nearby food spots seemed to close early, which was frustrating. I also had to chase them a bit about a complaint instead of it being handled quickly. In the end, the location didn’t really make things as convenient as I thought it would.

"Spa was fine, but not worth the price"
I booked a massage through opalcollection.com while I was staying at one of their hotels, and the actual booking process was smooth. I got the confirmation right away and everything looked organized, down to the appointment time and spa location, so I went in expecting it to feel a little more polished.
The therapist was friendly, but my appointment started a bit late and the room wasn’t as quiet as I hoped. I could hear little noises outside the door, and even the blanket on the table felt kind of thin, which sounds minor but made it harder to fully relax. For what it cost, I expected a calmer experience. Not awful, just disappointing.

"Check-in Was Just Okay"
Check-in took a bit longer than I expected. The staff were friendly, so that helped, but they seemed a little unsure of what they were doing at times. Not a huge deal though... my room was ready when I got there, which I appreciated.

"Didn't feel very kid-friendly"
It just wasn’t great with kids. Hard to explain, but the vibe felt kind of off, like the kids weren’t really welcome there. We didn’t feel super comfortable staying long.

"Refund took longer than expected"
I had to cancel my booking, and the refund process was kind of a hassle lol. It took longer than they originally said it would, and I ended up having to follow up twice before it got sorted. Not the best experience.

"It was just okay"
The food was decent, I just didn’t feel like it was worth what we paid. The service was friendly enough, but dinner took a while and we were waiting longer than expected. I guess I was just hoping for a little better based on the place.

"Housekeeping was seriously disappointing??"
I stayed at an Opal Collection hotel the housekeeping was a big letdown. The room didn’t feel properly cleaned, there was trash left behind, and we were missing towels. I had to call twice just to get it handled, which was frustrating. For what they charge, how does that even happen?? It just felt lazy, and I wouldn’t book there again.

I stayed here and barely slept. There was noise from the hallway and outside going on most of the night, and the walls felt so thin I could hear way more than I wanted to. For what they charge, I expected at least a quiet room. When I mentioned it, the response felt like one of those canned apologies that doesn’t really address anything, which just made it more frustrating.

"Not the view I was hoping for"
I booked this place thinking we’d have a nice view, so I was disappointed when most of what we could see was the parking lot and some rooftop equipment. I kept wondering if maybe we’d been given the wrong room or if I misunderstood the listing, because it really didn’t feel like what I expected for the price. Just wish the view had been clearer upfront so I knew what I was paying for.
